Horned Lark, Milford Point, 9/29/15

A few record shots of an early adult female Horned Lark at Milford Point on 9/29/15.  She was foraging in the wrack at the western part of the main sandbar.

Long-billed Dowitcher, Stratford Marina, 9/25/15

Shots of a Long-billed Dowitcher at the Stratford Marina, 9/25/15.  Found by Frank Mantlik a few days ago.  In with a flock of at least 75 yellowlegs and 8 dowitchers.  Larger, more upright than SBDO, also solid color (gray) tertials and primary ends.

Checkered Whites, Milford Pt still 9/12/15

Today, 9/12/15,  at least 4 (2 males, 2 females) at Milford Point.  They have expanded their range; found females at the end of the Francis St spit and in the dunes at the beginning, near the boardwalk platform.  Males still at territory where Francis St meets the beach.  They have been here at least since 8/16/15.
