Brown Thrasher sand-bathing, 6/29/18, Milford Point, 2 videos: bird looks stressed, uncomfortable and itchy. At least 10 PIPL chicks in about 5 families are on the main sandbar. A few straggling shorebirds have been around, with the Dunlin quite out of date--often a sign of underlying physical problem.
Watch Hill Birds, 6/4/18. Went looking for a Curlew Sandpiper that had been at Napatree Point two days earlier, but did not find it. Birds below were present; no photos of Bank Swallows, but they breed here.
