On 26 August 2013 at the western extension of the Francis Street spit, among the many shorebirds (mainly Semipalmated Plover & Sandpipers, Least Sandpipers, Black-bellied Plover, SB Dowitcher, AMOY) were at least 2 White-rumped Sandpipers and a Baird's Sandpiper--both species found by John Oshlick around 4:00 PM. Also present, a lone fledgling Piping Plover. Below, a few record shots in the tradition of Richard Crossley. For Baird's, check
