| Whimbrel and Red Knot, 8/30/15 Milford Pt |
A few record shots of a Whimbrel at Milford Point this AM (8/30/15). First heard and seen on main sandbar middle (lagoon); flew west but returned an hour later. Also, E, Willet. Whimbrel photographed on fugitive sandbar as tide rose and eventually covered sandbar. Also on sandbar were Sanderling, Semipalmated Sandpipers, RUTU, SEPL, and 3 Red Knots--above, Whimbrel with Red Knot.
