At Snow Creek, an area btw Highway111 and the mountains (just past the Whitewater turnoff), a Black-tailed Gnatcatcher. This gnatcatcher is separated from the Blue-gray and the California definitively by its harsh, wren-like call; also note white outer tail feather edge: much smaller than Blue-gray and much more striking than the California. Also, white undertail coverts separate it from California. One still unresolved feature: the underside of the tail seems all dark (as in California).
