Buff-breasted Sandpiper, 8/20/17, Sandy Point, West Haven. Juvenile: aged by white fringed coverts, scapulars, tertials. Adult has buffy fringing, and lacks overall crispness of this bird's plumage. Bird discovered about 4 days ago. Quite tame.
