East Broadway 7/8/11 1 chick, 1 nest

Here's a photo of the lone remaining 827 East Broadway chick, now almost 2 weeks old. It's tended by at least one adult. And here's a brief video of one of the adults returning to the nest within the exclosure at 851 E. B'way to incubate the 3 eggs.

6 fledglings, 4 adults Mlf Pt/Cedar Beach 7/7/11

All the chicks from the family of 4 (2 chicks) and the family of 6 (4 chicks) have fledged, but they still hang out in the same place--near the beached rowboat at the junction of the spit and Cedar Beach. Below a photo of all ten Piping Plovers on 7/7/11, a photo of 2 fledglings, and a video too.
