December 1, 2019, female Eurasian Wigeon, Milford

At the Jonathan Law High School Pond, a female Eurasian Wigeon was with about 125 duck, including 80 American Wigeon, one Green-winged Teal, 1 drake Wood Duck, 25 Mallard, 8 American Black Duck, and 15 Gadwall.  This bird was found the day before at nearby Mondo Ponds (west pond) by Frank M.  Its brown head contrasts with the gray of the American Wigeon hens.
