Prairie Falcon, 1/12/14 Palm Springs, Demuth Park
A few record shots of an adult male Prairie Falcon in Demuth Park in Palm Springs. It was chased from its perch by (probably) a Red-tail Hawk. The falcon had been perched quite near the Vermillion Flycatcher. When the falcon flew away after being dislodged by the buteo, he headed across a large flock of grazing geese (Canada with a few Cackling and Greater White-fronted) causing a raucous uproar.
